A new name we can add to the list.

Peter Capaldi: 2013 - ?

As Day of the Doctor has now happened, I can begin fleshing out ideas on the direction the Capaldi era can go in.

The Doctor is no longer the Last of the Time Lords like he once thought. After the Fall of the Eleventh, the clock has struck twelve. Yet, he is the final. The thirteenth incarnation. Most notably, unlike his previous five incarnations, Doctor has grown tired of the sonic once again. 

"Fists and wits are the only tools I need, Clara."

Series 8 will likely chronicle the Doctor's search for the lost Gallifrey.
